anotherRun
Modular systems meet emergent gameplay.
Why This Project is On Hold
anotherRun began as a pivot from the SDBT framework. The focus is no longer on the framework itself, but on building a game experience where player interaction comes first and AI systems serve that goal. The vision of enemies that learn and adapt to player strategies still excites me, but the project is currently paused.
The pause comes down to hardware limits. On my current setup (i7-3770k and GTX 1660 Ti), pushing anotherRun forward at the scale I envision would risk burnout and stall progress. Rather than force it and lose momentum, I've chosen to focus my energy on Voice Chain Reaction — a smaller project, but one I pursue with equal passion.
This shift allows me to:
- Put player experience at the center
- Explore and validate core AI ideas in a constrained, achievable scope
- Build momentum with a complete and polished release
- Refine my workflow and carry the lessons forward
anotherRun will return when the time is right, stronger for the lessons learned and systems tested along the way.
